New Zealand Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act 2007

We manage and send newsletters and email marketing campaigns for different companies and organisations in New Zealand. All email campaigns and newsletters are sent to opt-in contact lists, we do not send spam or unsolicited email. Sending of unsolicited email is illegal in New Zealand under the Unsolicited Electronic Messages Act and we take appropriate measures to ensure that all emails we send comply with this Act.

Subscribing to a contact list

When someone subscribes to a contact list our system will automatically send a confirmation email to the address provided. This confirmation email includes an activation link that must be clicked to activate the subscription. This allows us to confirm that the person subscribing is the owner of the supplied email address.

To unsubscribe from a contact list

All email newsletters you will receive contain an unsubscribe link, always located at the bottom of the email. Clicking this link will promptly unsubscribe from the contact list. Alternatively replying to the email to let the sender know that you would like to opt out of future emailings should resolve the problem.

Privacy

The privacy of the companies we work for and their customers is very important to us. We collect and store personally identifiable information such as names and email addresses gathered through subscription forms. The information we collect is treated as confidential and will never be sold, given, rented, traded or otherwise disclosed to others.

Security

We take appropriate measures and use appropriate technology to ensure the security of all personally identifiable information we keep, these measures include the use of up to date firewalls and secure Unix web and email servers.

Reporting violations of this policy

If you have received an email from any of our servers that you believe was sent in breach of our privacy policy then please send a copy of the email to abuse@epostie.co.nz . Please include the complete email headers from the email you received, do not just forward the email to us or the headers will be lost. See the instructions below to obtain the complete headers from Outlook or Outlook Express.

Outlook: How to Obtain the Full Email Headers

1. Open the message in a separate window.
2. In the View menu, select Options.
3. In the Message Options dialog, copy the entire contents of the Internet headers section.
4. Paste the headers into a new email and send to us at abuse@epostie.co.nz. Do not forward the email you received because the headers will be lost.

Outlook Express: How to Obtain the Full Email Headers

1. Open the message in a separate window.
2. In the File menu, select Properties.
3. Click the Details tab in the dialog.
4. Click Message Source.
5. Copy the entire contents of the Message Source dialog.
6. Paste the headers into a new email and send to us at abuse@epostie.co.nz. Do not forward the email you received because the headers will be lost.
